[Spoilers] Symbolisim of the Darkness Devil's Intro

tldr:
My idea on why astronauts are featured in his intro is because they are men who braved the ultimate darkness of space. Darkness Devil then uses their deaths as a symbol that even they couldn't beat him in a way. Them praying could also be symbolic of them being powerless in the face of the darkness so the only thing they can do is pray.
A weird thing to note is if it hasn't been confirmed that a space launch has been preformed in the Chainsaw Man universe then it is very unlikely it has been. As a society dealing with countless devil attacks doesn't really have time or resources to launch space ships with no direct value to them. Especially in a world without nukes, for those that don't know a huge part of the space race was the idea of intercontinental missiles being able to launch nuclear warheads at greater speeds and efficiency than a bomber. With the eating of the Nuke Devil it can be assumed that this would not be a priority for the US or the Soviet Union, which might explain why the Soviet Union is still around as it didn't need to expend so much capital on researching and developing nuclear and space technologies. This is all head cannon though and the showing of the astronauts in Darkness Devil's intro is a pretty big thorn in this theory's side but I still think it's possible.
I just reread the chapters with Darkness Devil and I want to explain some of my ideas about various things with in the Darkness Devil.
The bell
In the little """"""""""""""research"""""""""""""" I did on the Japanese bells shown when Darkness Devil uses his sword. It seems the bells are related to the idea of warding off evil spirits or summoning a god when rung. This could be a node to the sword not actually being a part of Darkness Devil's abilities and he is using someone else as the sword. More than likely not in terms of a contract, as it is stated that a DEVILMAN/fiend can't make contracts with Devils (to my knowledge it is never stated a full devil can't make contracts with other devils) but it could be a mutual aid sort of deal, like another devil deals with things the Darkness Devil doesn't want to work with and in return the Darkness Devil helps out that devil. This is all head cannon and the bell could just be the sound the sword makes when summoned not the Darkness Devil ringing and summoning the sword but it's an interesting thought.
The frog
I have some ideas about the frog, it could be like my idea of the bell, summoning another devil to help Darkness Devil, or it could be a visual metaphor for how quickly the Darkness Devil moves. Another thing to mention is the sound the frog makes, in the original Japanese it is "ゲコ" (geko)
This is a sound that seems to be one of three onomatopoeias representing frog croaks, the others being "ゲロ"(gero) and "ケロ" (kero). They seem to be used in different situations but I couldn't find concrete rules on when to use which but from anecdotal evidence, some redditor said gero was used for ugly frogs and kero was used for cute frogs. Geko could be used for normal frogs by this logic, but I'm leaning towards the idea that geko is used for night time frog sounds, my source: one youtube video.
This nighttime croaking would explain why a frog is present in Darkness Devil's aesthetic.
An avenue I would want to go down sometime later is looking at the Darkness Devil and the other Primal Fears as the Shinto Okami, but I haven't figured out how to connect the two just yet.
